Halley's Comet

First up on the hat hit parade is "Halley's Comet" I started it after dinner on Sunday Nite and stayed up until 10:30 to finish it off while watching an old documentary on WalMart. I loved this pattern, I have so many doily patterns and this would be an excellent way to practice the Emily Ocher cast on and try out a bunch of centers without making the commitment to an entire doily or shawl. I changed the shaping a little so it's more of a bucket/cloche shape which seems to be very popular this year, and with that big old rose on top of the head of course I chose a yarn by the name of Primrose! If it went this quickly in DK weight, imagine how quickly it would go in a heavier yarn with bigger needles! So the hat is stowed in the finished pile, the free pattern is stored in a folder to bring to guild and this morning I'll start the Beaufort...
